Fairway Fix, as the business has been dubbed by owner and Highland Meadows neighbor Adam Cowdin, will bring two 15-foot golf simulators to a 2,500-square-foot space on the corner of Plano Road and Northwest Highway this fall. Construction is currently underway, with Cowdin expecting to open sometime by mid-October.

He only recently took up golf and became enamored with the concept after a trip to a local golf shop for clubs opened his eyes to the concept’s potential.

“(The man at the store asked) ‘Do you just want to come in and use our simulator?’ Like, ‘yeah, okay,'” Cowdin says. “20 minutes later, I literally asked him. ‘Can you just rent this?’ He was like, ‘No, but there are people that do. And so that was sort of like the moment.’

The new space will be located next to Carlos Machado Jiu-Jitsu on the second floor of the center. Cowdin says he chose the space due to the growth he has seen in the area recently and what he feels as a lag in entertainment options.

Each simulator bay will come with chairs and tables for customers. Balls and clubs will be provided, although not readily available. Fairway Fix will also feature a large putting green and Cowdin says he will look to add at least one-two more simulators as the business grows.

For customers looking to take a break from the simulated green, Fairway Fix will have a lounge area with couches and a projector screen for live sports.

The business will operate on a membership model, although walk-ins will be welcome to visit for $30 an hour until membership fills up. Two tiers of membership will be available: a single membership for $150 that allows for 10 hours of playtime a month and a single guest each visit, and a family membership for $250 that allows for 15 hours of playtime a month and up to three guests each visit.
