A Dallas tradition since 1997, Restaurant Week brings area restaurants together to raise money for local charities each year. This year, DFWRW started on Aug. 4 and will run through Aug. 10, although some participating restaurants will continue offering Restaurant Week menus through the end of the month. 20% of all sales will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank at participating locations.

More than 140 restaurants are participating in this year’s event. In Lake Highlands, MoMo Italian Kitchen and Goldie’s are both taking part. Each Lake Highlands establishment is offering a $49 pre-fixe three-course dinner as part of DFWRW. Reservations for both can be made through the event’s website.

At MoMo, guests can select from a variety of dishes for the primi, secundi and dolce courses. For Restaurant Week, MoMo has added a special spicy rigatoni alla vodka to a seven-item selection of mains, which also includes regular menu staples like fettuccine alla santalloro and insalata fantasia.

The Forest Lane establishment will participate through the end of the month. It is also offering a two-course lunch menu for a reduced price of $29. Full dinner and lunch menus can be found here.

Goldie’s will also participate through Aug. 10 with a special three-course Restaurant Week menu. For the main course, guests can choose from red snapper, chili oil chicken thighs or bucatini with confit garlic and roma tomatoes.

Reservations for MoMo can be made on OpenTable, while those looking for a slot at Goldie’s can visit its Resy page.

Behind New York City, DFWRW is the second-longest-running restaurant week in the United States. To date, the event has raised $12 million for local charities like the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas County and Lena Pope in the Tarrant County area.
