The Office of Energy Management and Crisis Response issued an update on Jan. 9, regarding the City’s efforts and operations in the face of the recent inclement weather.

Oncor
As of the informational briefing, Oncor had three customers reporting loss of power. Residents are advised to report outages by calling 888-313-4747.
DART
There have been “minimal” service impacts. Rails are operating normally.
Transportation and Public Works
12 traffic signals are on flash and six are without “communication.” Crews are continuing to monitor conditions and sand targeted areas, including bridges and overpasses.
Dallas Police Department (DPD)
DPD responded to 27 weather-related incidents. The department is continuing to support routine service delivery and temporary inclement weather shelter locations.
Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR)
DFR is operating under cold weather procedures, with normal staffing and call volume. DFR has transported 18 unhoused individuals to shelters overnight and will be continuing to support temporary inclement weather shelter locations.
Office of Homeless Solutions
The combined population of the inclement weather shelters (Grand Place, Austin Street Center and the Tower Building) is 1,245. The office is conducting inventory checks to facilitate resupply, and planning for extended shelter operations, if needed.
Code Compliance Services
The multifamily rental inspection team investigated 13 emergency service requests. No mass outages were reported at rental properties citywide.
