Organized by the Friends of OHS and the Dallas Public Library, the drive kicked off in November as part of the start of National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. According to a release, the initiative is 600 coats short of meeting its goal.

Most public libraries in Dallas, including the Audelia Road Branch Library, are participating in the drive as drop-off locations. The bin at the Audelia Road Library can be found in front of the circulation desk, and the last day to donate is December 31.

Only coats are accepted, and gently used donations are preferred.
