The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is hosting a series of special holiday dinners at the Degolyer House as part of its Holiday at the Arboretum programming.
Headlined by a large buffet-style offering of assorted proteins like churrasco-style sirloin, the dinners will be available on select dates until Dec. 23. Slots must be booked 72 hours in advance, and full payment (not including tax) must be made at the time of booking.
The menu offering is a mix of a la carte and buffet-style options. Diners will begin with a choice of a winter salad with spicy peanuts and craisins, Caesar salad or carrot ginger soup with pistachio dust. Dessert is also served a la carte. After dinner options include a hazelnut roulade with raspberry coulis and a pumpkin creme brulee with berries.
Mains are served buffet-style. Aside from the sirloin, chicken piccata with artichokes and pan-seared Atlantic salmon with a pomegranate glaze round out the protein selection. Side choices include a wild rice salad, whipped potatoes and house-made breads. Modifications are available for dietary restrictions.
The per-person price of admission is $79 and includes gratuity, parking and garden admission. The price is the same for non-members and members. Alcohol is not included in the initial cost, but is available for purchase at the restaurant.
Dinners are available for booking on Dec. 4, 6, 8–10, 14-23. There is a 6:30 and a 7:30 p.m. seating available each night. Changes in reservations must be made 48 hours prior to the dinner, and there is a cancellation fee of $10 for unfulfilled reservations.
The Degolyer House has been decorated with a special theme for this year’s holiday programming. Designed as a “Della Robbia Christmas,” the house has been adorned with floral accents to imitate the famous Italian sculptor’s style.
