The space has been vacant since June 2023, when an expansion location of Allen’s The Koi Way was forced to close, citing high rent.

It was preceded by Hei Hei, an American-Chinese fusion concept from the team behind Cedar & Vine that lasted just over a year.

Before that, pizza joint Atomic Pie and the Lake Highlands Creamery ice cream parlor were forced to close as well. PAN will be the latest storefront to open in the space.

As of now, no menu is posted for the new restaurant. A link to pan-asian-kitchen.com yields an unfinished website with no further info. The front door lists hours of 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for weekday lunch, reopening from 4:30 to 9 p.m. On Fridays, they will stay open until 9:30 p.m. On weekends, there will be no afternoon closure.

At time of press, no opening date has been listed.
