The event will take place from 3-6 p.m and will benefit the South Central Irish Wolfhound Club. There will be raffle prizes and games, organizers say. Food will be provided by Larkin Barbecue, a DFW BBQ catering company. In addition to food and activities, a large group of the massive, generally well-mannered hounds will also be in attendance.

The South Central Irish Wolfhound Club is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization which seeks to support the breed and their owners in North Texas. The nonprofit also supports rescue operations for the breed.

The hounds, known as cú faoil in ancient Ireland, can reach up to seven-feet-tall standing and are known for their kind, gentle disposition.
