A Willie Nelson tribute act will perform tonight at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden for the second to last performance of the 2024 Fall Cool Thursdays Concert Series.
Willie and Family, fronted by McKinney-born look-alike Michael Moore, will play outlaw anthems from 7-9 p.m. at the Martin Rutchik Stage and Concert Lawn. Gates 1 and 4 will open at 6 p.m.
According to his promotion company, Moore excels at recreating classics like “Whiskey River” and “Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys,” for a live audience. Moore, like Nelson himself, will play the guitar during the performance.
It is thus far unclear if neighbors can expect a harmonica accompaniment.
Parking can be found in lot 1 or the parking garage. While there will be limited complimentary wheelchairs available at information booths, golf cart and tram service will not be available for the concert.
Neighbors can bring their own blankets, coolers and lawn chairs to the concert. Those with shorter, beach-style chairs can sit towards the front of the lawn, while neighbors with taller chairs are asked to remain towards the back.
There will also be food trucks and vendors at the concert. Vendors include Easy Slider, Elite BBQ, Winters’ SNOW, & Amor y Queso.
Tickets for adult non-members are priced at $41, and tickets for members cost $31. Senior prices are discounted by $2, and tickets for children aged 2-12 come out to $15 each.
The next and final installment of the fall series will come next Thursday with a performance by well-known party band Emerald City.
