Cane Rosso has unveiled two unconventional pies for the month of October, White Rock Coffee’s fall menu is almost as long as the normal one, and bellagreen’s specials highlight seasonal ingredients with simplicity.

Here are some of the seasonal offerings on hand around the neighborhood at the moment:

bellagreen | 8041 Walnut Hill Lane #810

Fast-casual New American spot bellagreen first opened up in The Hill shopping center in 2018, offering health-conscious plates with generous portions. bellagreen aims to follow an environmentally-conscious mission and offers a large selection of gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian options.

Its new autumn menu, available until December 2, has six items. Three are vegetarian, and four are gluten-free. Lighter fare comes in the form of the autumn galette, a baked marriage of bacon, pumpkin puree, goat cheese, kale, caramelized onion and butternut squash inside house-made dough.

A pumpkin chili with pumpkin puree comes in portions of either a cup or bowl. The roasted butternut squash and Brussels sprouts bowl and nature’s harvest salad can both be ordered with protein add-ons. For a main, the seared salmon with pumpkin puree comes served over a bed of butternut squash and carrots pilaf.

White Rock Coffee | 10105 E Northwest Highway

Coffee shops typically embrace seasonality without hesitation. White Rock Coffee is no exception, having given customers a sneak peak of the fall menu in July.

The fall offering is extensive, covering beverages, baked goods and meals. The beverage menu is a mix of old and new. The pumpkin spice latte — of course — has returned along apple cider. A Cardamom chai latte, s’mores latte and toffee dulce crunch round out the drink offering.

The autumn baked goods menu is 12 items-long and has plenty of variety. The poptart flavor of the season is cardamom pumpkin, and the loaf is also pumpkin flavored. Other items on the baked good menu include a maple pecan scone, apple pie cookie, ginger pear kolache and a red velvet whoopie pie.

Heavier fare includes chicken caesar salad on focaccia, a vegan sweet potato Jamaican power bowl and autumn crisp salad.

If you’ll be swinging by on a Friday, consider wearing a flannel. Until the end of the year, customers can receive a $1 discount for wearing a flannel on Friday.

Cane Rosso | 7150 Skillman St. #190

Cane Rosso, the new-arrival in Lake Highlands Town Center, is known for its wood-fired Neapolitan pizza. The brand typically unveils at least one seasonal rotator pizza a month, but for October, two new pies will come out of Cane Rosso’s pizza ovens.

The entree option is exactly what it sounds like. The Sasquash comes with butternut squash, Calabrian chile bechamel, andouille sausage, parmesan and kale.

The dessert option both looks and sounds like something straight from the mind of a culinarily-conscious eight-year-old.The Booberry Pumpkin Pie comes with blueberry whipped ricotta, powdered sugar, pumpkin pie filling and marshmallows served on charcoal-infused pizza dough.
