Determined to keep your personal data secure? Lake Highlands United Methodist Church is hosting a document shredding event Saturday, and all funds raised will be used by church youth for missions.
Participants may drive through the LHUMC parking lot and drop off your old bills, bank statements, canceled checks, medical records, resumes, photos, junk mail, magazines and travel documents. Shredders will not accept ring binders, cardboard, books, plastic, x-rays, electronics, cables, glass, cans, ink/toner cartridges, trash, food or soiled paper.
You’ll donate $10 for the first box and $5 for each additional box. LHUMC is at 9015 Plano Road, and drop off is between 9 a.m. and noon Oct. 12.
