Dallas Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a collision left one dead near the intersection of Northwest Highway and Abrams Road.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 Dallas police responded to a fatal hit-and-run crash in the 5900 block of Abrams Road, police say. In the course of their initial investigation, police say they determined that the driver was traveling southbound along Abrams Road in a white SUV when they struck a pedestrian.

The victim has not been identified.

The vehicle, shown in surveillance video, is believed to be a white suburban with black rear doors and trim, police said in a press release.

This incident is part of an ongoing investigation. Neighbors with information have been asked to contact the police.
