As Dallas Public Libraries are being asked to cut budgets and eliminate positions as part of the proposed 2024-25 budget, the book sale’s proceeds will go towards the branch’s operations and programming.
For $20, neighbors get a bag. After that, the books are included. Once neighbors get their bags, they can browse the selection of books, filling their bag as they go. The only things that are excluded are rare and speciality items.
The sale begins at 10 a.m. for ARLF members, who get an early shopping window before it opens up to the public at 11 a.m. The sale will go until 3 p.m.
Neighbors can join the ARLF for a fee at the event, with the bag and books included in membership.
