Police are searching for the kidnappers who snatched a man and two juveniles from an apartment complex on Fair Oaks Crossing in Lake Highlands early Saturday morning. The man’s body was later discovered dumped in Farmers Branch. The juveniles were found unharmed, walking along the I-35 service road in Lewisville.
Farmers Branch police detectives have not released the names of the two juveniles, but they say the youth, along with 33-year-old Nilzuly Arneaud Petit, were forcibly taken by several unknown suspects around 12:30 a.m. from the apartment complex near Royal Lane.
According to police, the suspects drove the hostages to the 1100 block of Valley View Lane, where Petit was shot. They then fled with the two juveniles in a light-colored four-door sedan. The juveniles were released and found walking along the service road. Petit was found dead about 3:40 a.m. by a passing motorist.
Farmers Branch detectives are working closely with the Dallas Police Department to identify the suspects and are following up on multiple leads. Any witness or individual with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the FBPD at 972-919-1406 or pdinfoandtips@farmersbranchtx.gov.
