Dallas police have arrested a 21-year-old for murder following a homicide which took place close to the intersection of Audelia Road and Forest Lane last week.
According to DPD, police responded to a shooting call in the 11700 block of Audelia Road at approximately 9:45 a.m. on July 23. Upon officers’ arrival, 28-year-old Ariel Wesley was found shot in an apartment, police say. Wesley died at the scene.Â
After further investigation, police identified the suspect as 21-year-old Amori Jones, police say. Jones was charged with murder, and she is currently being held at the North Tower Detention Facility on a $1 million bond.Â
The incident is part of an ongoing investigation.
There will be a viewing on Friday, Aug. 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home for Wesley. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, Aug. 3 at Faithful Missionary Baptist Church beginning at 11 a.m.Â
