Two new exhibitions are coming to the Bath House Cultural Center this weekend.
From July 6 to Aug. 10, A Dialogue in Places and The Eyes of White Rock Lake will be on display. A Dialogue in Places, by local artists Mary Vernon and Lin Medlin, is a collaborative painting exhibit intended to incite discussion on landscape painting and artwork. The exhibition is the second time Vernon and Medlin have collaborated on an exhibition at the Bath House, having previously worked together in 2019 on a joint exhibit with a similar topic.
The Eyes of White Rock is a photography series that will be displayed at the Bath House by local photographer Adam Velte. The manager of Green Spot Market and Fuels, Velte is locally known for his devotion to capturing White Rock Lake’s nature. The exhibit showcases the lake’s birds, trees, flowers and sailboats, and is intended to deepen the viewers’ appreciation for the area.
Viewing hours for each will be Tuesday through Saturday, from noon to 6 p.m. There will be an artists’ reception on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
