A northern portion of White Rock Creek Trail is expected to be closed until mid to late July.
According to the City of Dallas’s Department of Parks and Recreation, a portion of the trail, near Cottonwood Creek Trail and behind 11400 Central Expressway, closed beginning on June 17.
The cause of the closure was listed as an emergency replacement of a sewer pipeline. The connection between Cottonwood Creek Trail and Northaven Trail is expected to remain open, while the connection between Cottonwood Creek Trail and White Rock Creek Trail will be closed.
Parks and Recreation will install signage around the area and will provide turnarounds and barriers. The public is encouraged to stay clear of the area.
