Alums will gather Friday night at Jake’s Gameday, 7215 Skillman, for burgers, beer and memories of their youthful days at The Cat, LHHS’ baseball field. Jake’s will donate a portion of proceeds to the Wildcat baseball program.

First pitch Saturday is at 1 p.m., but former players will begin showing up about 11:45 to warm up the old bones and take a few practice swings. Neighborhood Supply Co. is providing hats for the players, and spectators can find something fun to wear in their new shop at Church and Plano Road.

The community is invited to the game and admission is free, but donations will be accepted in support of Steve Farmer from the LHHS Class of ’97. While attending a Christmas performance with his family, he was shot six times at point blank range by the children’s biological father. After 25 days in the hospital he is recovering at home, but the family’s small business is shuttered, and medical expenses are overwhelming. You may donate online here.
