CHEW veterinarian Molly Deason accepts a check from 100 Women of LH.

CHEW is not your average Animal Clinic. They provide food, medication and other pet basics for families who qualify. That’s why the $18,000 grant they received this week from 100 Women of Lake Highlands was so impactful.

“Your generosity, compassion and commitment to community service are truly inspiring,” wrote Molly Deason, LH neighbor and CHEW veterinarian, on social media. “At CHEW, we firmly believe that tough times shouldn’t separate families from their pets. Thanks to the HOPE Room, we can now assist families in feeding, medicating and providing essentials for their furry friends during challenging times.”

CHEW offers everything from preventative care to diagnostics to advanced surgeries, and their programs allow pets to stay with their families rather than entering crowded shelters. They provide education within the community in hopes of ending senseless euthanasia.
