Casa Linda Plaza’s Annual Holiday Tree Lighting has been rescheduled due to inclement weather.
The event will now be held Dec. 4 from 5:30 – 8 p.m., with a tree lighting at 7:15 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The plaza is hosting several activities including live music, food, photos with Santa, a petting zoo and face painting.
The Casa Linda Plaza tree lighting has been a long-time family tradition in the neighborhood. Back in 2015, it was cancelled due to a transfer of ownership. When the new owners didn’t bring back the tradition, residents moved their celebration to the Lake Highlands Junior Women’s League’s newest event at the time, a tree trimming celebration. But now that it’s back, residents are thrilled to attend the annual tradition.
