The White Rock Lake Foundation will be hosting its second annual The Jewel of Dallas Gala on Nov. 9.
The event will host its VIP reception before the gala starts. Guests will be presented with food from prominent East Dallas chefs led by culinary chair, Peja Krstic of Mot Hai Ba.
Music will be performed by Ricki Derek and his 15 Piece Big Band. There will also be a Live Silent Auction. The form to donate to it is provided on their website.
Attendees have to purchase a ticket to enter the gala.
General Admission tickets cost $150, which gives guests access into the event. VIP tickets cost $250, which gains guests entry into the VIP reception as well as earn them a special VIP gift while being featured on the sponsor display.
The Gala will take place at Granada Theater on Greenville Avenue. The VIP reception is from 6-7 p.m. and the event is from 7-10 p.m. Valet parking is available.
WRLF was founded in 1989 by a group of residents worried about the environment surrounding the lake. It focuses on the maintenance and improvement of White Rock Lake. They advocate in front of the Dallas City Council and cooperate with Dallas Park and Recreation on long-term planning and design, according to their website.
