According to arrest affidavit, the friends “discovered that a charging port plugged into the wall of their assigned bathroom … contained a hidden camera.”The person who found the recording device in May told investigators he “works for the Department of Defense in cybersecurity.”

The friends said they found “dozens of videos of themselves and other people in bathrooms and bedrooms in various states of undress,” according to the affidavit. Some of those videos took place at Wasek’s apartment, The Village in Dallas.

Twenty-eight-year-old Wasek, an SMU Law student, was arrested on Oct. 3 and released an hour later on a bond of $280,000, according to KXAN.Â
