The Pride of Oklahoma

The award-winning marching band from the University of Oklahoma will rehearse at Wildcat Stadium Friday ahead of their performance at the Red River Rivalry game Saturday at Fair Park. Brian Britt, former director of fine arts for Richardson ISD, now serves as band director for “The Pride of Oklahoma” and will be on the Lake Highlands campus between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. with his crew.

The University of Texas Longhorn Band will practice Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Eagle-Mustang Stadium on the campus of Richardson High School.

Both rehearsals are free and open to the public.

The OU/Texas game kicks off at 11 a.m. at the Cotton Bowl. ESPN’s broadcasting team has chosen to highlight the matchup for their College Gameday coverage, with the Longhorns currently ranked #3 and the Sooners ranked #14 in the country.
