Since its origination in 2009, Giving Day has raised over $500 million for nonprofits in North Texas.

CFT stresses the importance of finding a nonprofit that aligns with your passions so you can give with purpose.

You can donate to local nonprofits and their causes on September 21. Early Giving is open now for those who can’t donate on the 21st. Donations can be made on the NTGD website, where you can browse through a list of the many different nonprofits and read about them.

Here are some participating nonprofits.

  1. Camp Sweeney

Camp Sweeney is a camp for children with Type 1 diabetes. Campers support each other and build long-lasting friendships. They say the goal is to make children feel as if diabetes doesn’t make them any different.

   2. Doodle Rock Rescue

Doodle Rock is a rescue that focuses on rehabilitating and rehoming abused, abandoned and neglected poodles. They have rescued and rehomed over 1,200 dogs since they were founded.

 3. Evergreen Life Services

 4. HHM Healthcare

HHM is a nonprofit community health center that focuses on providing quality healthcare to the neighborhood. They provide personalized physical, mental and spiritual care.

5. The Artist Outreach

The Artist Outreach claims it’s a new way to educate. They offer academic subjects through creative arts classes to help children develop stronger. Their classes combine a child’s imaginative side with structure and exploration.
