The Branch Out Dallas initiative was formed to help increase the citywide tree canopy, improve air quality and reduce the heat island effect.

“Each tree planted helps Dallas get closer to meeting these goals. Trees benefit everyone by cooling temperatures and improving air quality.  Homeowners who plant a tree in their yard benefit by saving energy, cooling the air and adding shade,” Branch Out Dallas says.
