Vickery Meadow Youth Development Foundation will celebrate the opening of a new success center Saturday, Sept. 9.
The foundation helps connect Vickery Meadow youth to mentors, scholarships and other educational and career opportunities. Many of the youth come from refugee and immigrant families.
The success center will be an education hub in the community that will provide a safe space for youth to learn and work on career development. It will be a 10,000-square-foot facility with modern architecture and artwork designed by locals in the community.
Several programs and resources will be available, including workshops, career development, mentorship programs, a relationship incubator and a community gathering space.
Neighbors are welcome to the grand opening to explore the new center from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The center is located at 7110 Holly Hill Drive.
