Some Lake Highlands teachers got a special surprise and acknowledgment this month.
AdvoCare, the Richardson-based health and wellness company, donated more than $4,000 to Richardson ISD teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week.
Teachers from Merriman Park Elementary, Lake Highlands Middle School, Lake Highlands High School and Spring Creek Elementary were selected for the donations.
“We know that teachers are the backbone of our community, and we wanted to take the opportunity during Teacher Appreciation Week to show our gratitude for their incredible work,” said Patrick Wright, CEO of AdvoCare, in the press release. “We hope these gifts and donations will show them how much we value their contributions.”
In the teacher’s lounge of each school, AdvoCare set up Spark and Rehydrate fountains and gave away gift bags. The fountains have different drink flavors, including fruit punch and pomegranate tangerine.
Inside the gift bags were Spark and Rehydrate samples, AdvoCare products, a large BOGG beach bag and a Stanley Cup.
The health and wellness company is also selecting classroom heroes and selecting a grand prize winner.
