Friday’s annual Red White Game is not just for football fans — it’s the closest thing Lake Highlands, Texas has to an all-community gathering, and everyone is invited.

Play kicks off at 6 p.m., but you’ll want to be at Wildcat Stadium well before that. Tailgate fun begins at 5 with a visit from the Kona Ice Truck, and a DJ will be spinning tunes to keep the party going.

Just before kickoff, graduating seniors will be introduced wearing T-shirts from their chosen college, and at halftime cheerleaders, Highlandettes, Bell Boys and band members will break away to officially pass the torch to next year’s leaders. The Wildcat Club will sell spirit wear at the Clawset, and the Exchange Club will host a free hot dog picnic on the turf following the game. Game tickets will be sold at the door.

Aug. 24 at 7: Mesquite Poteet at Wildcat Stadium

Sept. 1 at 7: Flower Mound at Neal Wilson Stadium

Sept. 8 at 7: Highland Park at Wildcat Stadium for Junior High Night and Tailgate

Sept. 15 at 7: Jesuit at Postell Stadium

Sept. 22 at 7: Berkner at Wildcat Stadium for LH Homecoming

Sept. 28 at 7: Irving Nimitz at Ellis Stadium

Oct. 5 at 7: Irving MacArthur at Wildcat Stadium for Elementary Night

Oct. 13 at 7: Richardson at Eagle Mustang Stadium

Oct. 20 at 7: Pearce at Wildcat Stadium for Senior Night

Oct. 27 at 7: OPEN

Nov. 2 at 7: Irving at Ellis Stadium
