Lake Highlands defeated Hebron Monday night in the soccer playoffs to claim the area championship. The Wildcats will play Flower Mound Marcus in the regional quarterfinals Friday night at 7 at Allen Eagle Stadium.

Monday night’s match was a nail-biter, with regulation play ending in a 1-1 tie. After multiple valiant efforts to put the ball in the net, Bienvenie “Benny” Bisimwa scored the winning goal in overtime for a final score of 2-1.

Tickets will $6 for adults, $4 for students and be sold for cash only at the gate.
