LHHS Band’s Mattress Palooza can help you get a great night’s sleep.
The Lake Highlands High School Band held their first Mattress Palooza in 2015, and over the years it’s been one of their most successful and popular fundraisers. The idea is pretty simple: if you’re in the market for a new mattress, premium pillow, adjustable base and/or mattress protector, swing by the school and choose from a variety of options and sizes. A portion of every purchase goes straight to the band.
It’s no easy task to transport and outfit 180 musicians, so fundraisers like Mattress Palooza are important to help keep every interested student participating. These year’s crop of kids is particularly talent-filled, with the marching band finishing best-in-RISD at competition and earning back-to-back appearances at the UIL Area Finals. Recently, fourteen outstanding soloists earned Honor Awards at the RISD Chamber Music Festival, and French horn phenom Charlie Johnson was named to the All-State Band.
Mattress Palooza will take place on the LHHS campus April 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with 30 mattress styles on display for customers to try. Well-known brands, including Simmons Beautyrest, Therapedic, Southerland, Intellibed and Innomax & Malouf, come with full factory warranties. Delivery is an option, and mattresses will be available 2-3 weeks after the fundraiser.
