The neighborhood Half Price Books Flagship has three author events coming up to close out February.
Tonight, thriller author Steve Berry will hold a discussion and book signing at 7 p.m. His latest book, The Last Kingdom, will be a continuation of the Cotton Malone character’s adventures.
Then, this Sunday on Feb. 26, there will be two author events. Dallas-based children’s author Shondra M. Quarles and youth author Dr. Shira A. Ackerman will have book signings at 1 p.m.
Quarles will be signing copies of her book No Calvin, which is about teaching kids to stay safe in healthy ways. Fellow local Ackerman will sign copies of her book Creating Young Minds: Inspiring Our Youth and Athletes Outside of the Classroom. The book is targeted toward the parents, educators and others who work with youth athletes.
