The last time the Wildcats won state in basketball was 1968, the same month Martin Luther King revealed plans for a “Nonviolent Poor People’s March on Washington” and Bobby Kennedy announced he’d run for president. Johnny Cash and June Carter were married that month, and the final episode of The Monkees aired on NBC TV.

So yeah, it’s been a while. Go Cats.
