HHM Health CEO Brian Hawkins opened the event with a prayer, speech, announcements of the upcoming spring luncheon.

District 13 Council Member Gay Donnell Willis also made an appeaarance and shared the importance of the new services and accessible healthcare for the Vickery Meadow community.

“Having a mammography machine at this discounted rate is so incredibly meaningful,” Willis said. “I’m very proud to be here tonight. Busy schedule, no, this is where I need to be.”

Afterward, Hawkins presented Pediatrician Dr. Larry Gray with a plaque and award for his pediatric care to children for more than 50 years.

Gray grew visibly emotional as he accepted the award alongside his wife, Sherry.

“We started at Healing Hands when it was just a little clinic. I started as a volunteer for the Dallas County Medical Society. We found that the people here were so gracious and grateful,” Gray said.

Previously, HHM Health outsourced to neighboring hospitals and health centers,  namely Texas Presbyterian, for the imaging and mammogram services they now offer to female patients at discounted rates.

“Sometimes the wait is up to three, four, six weeks, but we can see them now,” Director of Radiology Precious Jones says. “We have that capacity. Also educating [patients]— you don’t need that doctor’s order or insurance. Our chief medical officer will be the one to review those radiologist reports and ensure there’s nothing that needs to be done post-exam.”

HHM Health has plans on expanding soon to Oak Cliff with a children’s clinic on Jefferson and Eighth.

HHM Health is located at 5750 Pineland Drive in Vickery Meadow.
