The Blank Space Venue will celebrate its grand opening this Sunday.
Lake Highlands neighbors have a new option for hosting events: the Blank Canvas Venue, which is celebrating its grand opening this Sunday.
The venue has 1,938 square feet of floor space, making it an ideal location for parties, showers, meetings, or even small weddings. The grand opening event will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. The dress code is all-black, and local chefs and bartenders will provide food and drinks. The venue was founded by Dareshia “Dee” Ervin, who was initially inspired to create a support group for those who have experienced infertility or pregnancy loss. When she began thinking about where that group would meet, she felt called to open an event space for anyone who wanted to gather but did not have a place to do so. According to the Blank Canvas Venue’s website, Ervin intends the venue to be a place where “creativity is unleashed, ideas become reality and dreams come alive.”
