The Dallas Lutheran School board of trustees has named its fifth head of school as the new school year gets into full swing.
Stephen Eggold, the new head of school, has 38 years of Lutheran school experience and just returned to Texas. Previously, he served as principal at Green Park Lutheran School in Missouri for eight years and was principal at San Antonio Lutheran School for seven years.
So far, Eggold has encountered a lot of similarities at Dallas Lutheran School as he did with San Antonio Lutheran School, including the ongoing construction and temporary classrooms on campus.
“When I arrived in San Antonio, we were in portables just as we are here in Dallas. We built specialty classrooms to accommodate our students and were soon able to get everyone back on campus and in a new building and gymnasium,” Eggold said in the press release.
Dallas Lutheran board members and parents are also looking forward to Eggold’s leadership.
“Stephen Eggold is just the right person to lead us into the next area of growth here at Dallas Lutheran School. We are poised to break ground on phase 1 of our new building here and I look forward to Stephen’s leadership.” Board of Trustees member and student dad Rick Myers said.
