Drivers will need to take new routes on work commutes on Skillman Street while I-635 East construction is in progress.
The I-635 entrance ramp at Skillman Street will be temporarily closed starting Saturday morning, Aug. 20. Neighbors will have to detour south on Skillman Street and Audelia Road and head east on Royal Lane to access the entrance ramp.
All lanes along eastbound and westbound I-635 at Skillman and both directions of the bridge will be closed starting at 8 p.m. Saturday until Sunday afternoon. Drivers will be detoured along the I-635 frontage roads at Skillman Street.
The westbound I-635 exit ramp to Skillman Street will be relocated that drivers can take further east between Plano Road and Royal Lane/ Miller. Drivers can access the ramp by staying in the right lane and following signs toward Royal Lane/ Miller Road and Skillman Street. This will take effect 8 a.m. Saturday morning.
