Old 97’s frontman Rhett Miller will release his first solo album in four years on Sept. 16. The band has Lake Highlands roots.

Miller’s 11-track album, The Misfit, is under the independent record label ATO Records. So far, he’s released the single “Follow You Home” from the album. He spoke on what writing the song meant to him.

“Follow You Home’ came from wrestling with the idea of home as a place I never would’ve pictured— and yet I can’t imagine having wound up anywhere else,” he told Rolling Stone.

As Miller wraps up his solo tour dates this month, he’ll be on the road again with the rest of the Old 97’s in August. Check out a clip from Miller’s single below.
