The fight led to gunfire just after 11 p.m. inside the restaurant and entertainment venue at Walnut Hill and 75. When officers arrived, they found Willie Najera, 28, with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire Rescue responded, but Najera died at the scene.

As gunfire erupted, patrons inside were forced to run or take cover. Detectives are reviewing surveillance video and interviewing witnesses to identify the suspect(s).

In February of 2020, another fight at Dave and Buster’s resulted in gunfire. One man was shot in the leg during a Sunday afternoon visit when two groups took their verbal altercation outside into the parking lot. The victim, a doctor just arriving to celebrate birthdays with family members, was struck in the leg. He later recovered from his wounds.
