Demolition has begun at Lake Highlands Village Shopping Center.
After running into challenges due to the pandemic, about 50,000 square feet of the shopping center has been destroyed.
JAH Realty announced changes to the shopping center after purchasing the property two years ago. Tom Thumb will remain as the anchor tenant, and a residential complex will be built around it.
William Rosatti, who handled the leasing, said the entire shopping center will also undergo cosmetic improvements, and construction is slated to be finished by 2025.
