It’s never too early to think about football in Lake Highlands, Texas, and Wildcats are already there. The fall schedule is out, and the Cats will begin with a scrimmage in Coppell Aug. 18 and kick off the season Aug. 26 in Mesquite against Poteet. Our home opener will be Sept. 2 against Flower Mound, and our district opener will be against new district foe Highland Park on their home turf.
If you’d like to check out the Wildcats’ progress before then, plan to attend the annual Red White Game May 20 at Wildcat Stadium. Tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for students, and the event celebrates LHHS’ graduating seniors on the team, band, cheer squad, drill team and Bell Boys while officially welcoming leaders in the Class of 2023. Pregame begins at 5:30 and kickoff is at 6:30. After the game, the Exchange Club will be serving free hot dogs. Go Cats!
