It’s the weekend before the bulk of St. Paddy’s Day events begin. Here are a few events starting today to keep your mind off the hours ticking away until the day of green and gold on Mar. 17.

There’s an artist meet and greet tonight at Forrest and Virgina Green Mezzanine Gallery from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Michelle B. Noah will have a meet and greet as part of her new gallery, “Laurel Canyon,” that’s now up at the Center until the end of the month.

Get some laughs at Oak Highlands Brewery tonight at 7 p.m. The show is for ages 21 and up. Tickets are $20 and limited, but there are a few left here.

Learn how to raise chickens in your backyard. Rooster Home and Hardware will have a free class on raising backyard chickens this Saturday, Mar. 5 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. John Ramos, a certified raiser will show how it’s done. Email info@urbanchickeninc.com to preorder pullets for the chickens. Chicks will also be available for adoption that morning.
