Between Friday, Feb. 11 and Sunday, Feb 13, there were two homicides on Fair Oaks Crossing and LBJ Freeway.

A 61-year-old woman died from a shooting at 8800 Fair Oaks Crossing at Whitehurst Dr. on Sunday morning.

Dallas police responded to a call at 4:05 a.m. and found her lying face-down on the ground with multiple shots from a rifle. She was still moving but unresponsive.

The victim was taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries.

The motive and circumstances are still under investigation, according to police.

Two days earlier, a 41-year-old woman with two shot wounds and a bruised face was dropped off at a local hospital by a 31-year-old man at around 2:37 p.m.

An investigation determined that the woman was shot twice at a motel on 11350 LBJ Freeway by the man who dropped her off at the hospital. He was identified as Alexander Escobar.

Two hours later, Escobar was transported to the hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue after crashing his car while attempting to overdose on drugs. He was arrested after his releases from the hospital and would not speak to detectives.

Escobar will be charged with murder.

The circumstances of Escobar’s motive is still under investigation.
