Mijas Taqueria, the Rowlett-based restaurant, is coming to Lake Highlands in February and serving up trompo and mangonadas.
The restaurant made an announcement on Jan. 24 on their Facebook page that the Rowlett location is permanently closed. After seven years, their contract couldn’t be renewed.
Here’s what they shared in their post:
Unfortunately after 7 years here, the new owners of the building where we are located no longer wanted to renew our contract, for this r Sadness Mijas Taqueria – Rowlett will close its doors tomorrow Tuesday 25 at 10:00 pm, this will be the last day you can enjoy some delicious street tacos for .99, in the Rowlett area. But, we want to invite you to our NEW location in Dallas (LAKE HIGHLANDS AREA), we will be ready to start in February.
Their menu includes favorites such as tacos, tortas, quesadillas, mangonadas and margaritas.
This new Lake Highlands location will be located at 9901 Royal Ln Suite 100. Mijas Taqueria has one other location in Wylie, Texas.
