Whether your toddlers have years before entering the high school or your grown kids made you an empty nester long ago, the Lake Highlands High School PTA says you can help students have a joyous holiday season.
Each year, the PTA hosts an Angel Tree, and this season they’ve identified 200 teens who need assistance. They still need 122 volunteers to become angels for kids who otherwise may have no Christmas at all. Church groups, businesses, scout troops and other organizations are invited to adopt angels, too.
If you’d like to help, sign up via this link and provide at least one item on a kid’s wish list. Students are currently working with social service site coordinators to create wish lists, which donors will receive early in November. Gifts should be dropped off at LHHS’ Building H (formerly the freshman center) Dec. 1 and 2.
