The Lake Highlands brewery haus party will take place Sept. 18 with a vendor market, German beer and live music.

The Oktoberfest celebration will open at 11 a.m. with an artisan market. More than 20 local vendors will offer goods like jewelry, clothes, BBQ sauce, sweets and CDB products.

One-hundred collectors steins will be available to purchase on a first-come basis. These can be filled with Vector’s Vectorbrau German-style marzen or Kleingeist hefeweizen.

In the kitchen, Kuby’s famous bratwurst will be beer-battered and served on a stick for authentic German corndogs. Vector’s cheese and pepperoni pizza will also be on the menu, with by-the-slice ordering available at an outdoor tent.

The Oom-pah Daddies, Baba Yaga Orkestar’s Oktoberfest Polka Band, will play live from 5-8 p.m.

To complete the night, a yodeling contest, stein hoisting contest, a beer belly competition, and weenie dog parade will be held at Vector Brewing. A raffle will also take place throughout the evening, with all proceeds going to the Dachshund Lovers of Texas Rescue.
