LHJWL is hosting a school supply drive for students at LHHS.
Lake Highlands Junior Women’s League members are hosting a school supply drive for needy kids at Lake Highlands High School. Students in upper grades are often overlooked, they say, as caring donors and organizations provide for youngsters in elementary grades.
The LHJWL, formed in 2004 with 85 charter members and now boasting 120 active members and $700,000 in funds raised for community causes, has been working with instructional coaches at LHHS to identify specific classroom needs of students. They are requesting reusable water bottles, pencils, glue, dry erase markers, dry erasers, Clorox wipes and Kleenex boxes.
