Hot dogs don’t get much love from today’s salmon-and-salad healthy eating crowd. Luckily, today is devoted to enjoying the American essential from sunup to sundown.

At Jake’s Burger’s and Beer, the Hot Dawg is a quarter pound of 100% Black Angus beef topped with mustard and chopped onions. Chili and cheddar cheese are optional, and it all goes on Jake’s fresh-baked poppy seed bun. Jake’s also offers the Flaming Dawg, a sausage hot dog stuffed with jalapenos and cheddar cheese.
