The complete redesign focuses on increased frequency, less travel time, improved service and better access, according to the transit system. Changes to reach these goals include new GoLink zones and the expansion of existing zones.

Reasons for the overhaul include outdated systems, declining ridership and goal re-evaluation, according to a March 2021 DART bus network plan draft, DART previously shared.

The draft can be compared to existing routes using the interactive map and more information on the proposed redesign can be found at www.dartzoom.org.

Board members are expected to vote on final approval of the plan in August, and the new service is expected to start in January 2022.

The DART board meeting can be watched live at DART.org/BoardVideo under “Board of Directors Live.”
