The dance, themed New York, New York, will feature the DFW MusicMakers band starting at 8 p.m. Doors will open for guests at 7:30 p.m., according to a release from the dance nonprofit group.

A summer dress code will be in effect, with room for cocktail or dressy-casual looks. Masks are optional.

Fully COVID-19 vaccinated and temperature-checked dance hosts will be available for unaccompanied ladies. The hosts will wear masks upon request and there will be hand sanitizer stations at the event.

Admission ranges from $10-$20, with ticket options for students ($10 with valid ID), guests ($20) and members of Ballroom Dance Dallas ($15). The group asks for cash or checks in the exact amount at the door.

A maximum of eight people will be seated at tables in the Sokol hall, located at 7448 Greenville Ave., Dallas, with spacing at half-capacity allotted across the venue. Groups planning to attend are encouraged to make a reservation.

Ballroom Dance Dallas has existed in the area since 1995, known previously as Marilyn Meyers Dance Connection. The nonprofit’s last dance took place in February 2020, before closures started due to the coronavirus pandemic.
