Dr. Bob Iden and Addie Bone

Lake Highlands High School graduating senior Addison “Addie” Bone has earned the Dr. Bob Iden Award. The honor was previously called the Outstanding Character Award and was renamed in 2008 when Dr. Iden retired as principal of LHHS.

Bone, who received the Austin Silva Memorial Scholarship in honor of the much-beloved LHHS student who died in 2017, has served as a counselor at Camp Barnabas for children with special needs, earned the Cotton Award for work as a member of National Charity League and was nominated for Homecoming Queen. She was captain of the tennis team and vice president of student council, and she founded the Wildcat Chess Club.

Dr. Bob, as he is affectionately known to former students and teachers, played football for LHHS before graduating in 1970. He returned to teach from 1978-85, then served as principal from 1997-2008.

Bone will attend Texas A&M University in the fall. Gig ‘em, Addie!
