The University of Texas at Arlington’s digital archives show a historic view of Vick’s Steak House and Cafeteria at the Lake Highlands Shopping Center, now known as Northlake Center on the corner of E. Northwest Highway and Ferndale Road.
The building where the restaurant and cafeteria were is now empty, but the space where a hardware store sits in the background of the image is occupied by Rooster Home and Hardware and a Dollar Tree store.
